you also need to save them as .png with a transparent BG

png is a much higher quality than gif or even jpeg/jpg. It allows you to save with a transparent bg so that renders dont require 're-cutting'.

now to render critique...
Theres a white line around the whole thing that really kills it. see if you can get that off.
What program are you using to cut your renders? photoshop? GIMP?

i use photshop....png. has two types...8 and 24 i believe...what would you suggest?

Which version of photoshop are you using? I have CS2 and the only option it gives me is something about being interlaced.

hm, i dunno. I just go to save and then switch the type from .psd to .png and hit ok.
Then it comes up with a little box that asks 'interlaced' or something like that and I just stick with the first option. Thats how I save all my stuff unless it needs a specific file size (Like AIM avatars and stuff)

if you are trying to use "save for web" then yes you do have to pick.
